All guided snowshoeing treks offer a taste of the solitude and quiet that defines winter in Lake Tahoe. Amazing vistas of Lake Tahoe, views into surrounding wilderness and the tranquility of a snowy forest await you. Experience the beauty of Tahoe's high country that can only be accessed on foot. If you are looking for more of a challenge, you can continue to the top of one of our nearby peaks for panoramic views that can't be beat. Many options exist for every ability level. Tralheads are based on the group's activity level as well as snow pack. Snowshoeing is suitable for children age 8 and up.

Snowshoeing Lake Tahoe's Mountains
Tour includes knowledgeable guide, snowshoes, trekking poles, permit fees, natural and human history, hot beverages, and optional lunch.
Typical distance and time: Approximately 2-4 miles. 3-4 hours on trail. Shorter and longer treks available. 10am-2pm.
Level of difficulty: All abilities age 8 years and up.
Location: Dependent on activity level, snow pack and your lodging location.
Cost: $75 per person without lunch, $90 per person with lunch, 2 person minimum.

Sunset Snowshoe Adventure
Trip includes: Snowshoes, poles, hot drinks, trail snacks, knowledgeable guides, natural history discussions, and permit fees.
Typical distance and time: 2-3 miles and time will vary depending on date.
Level of difficulty: Easy. All abilities welcome age 8 years and up.
Location: North Shore. Exact location is based on snow conditions and level.
Cost: $70 per person with a 2 person minimum.
